Maybe it's not the jeans, but the fact that she's skinny and tall, and therefore can get that kind of slouchy skinny look.
Oh, the diamond shape, I know what you mean about the pockets sticking out sometimes.Garderobenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03161904037115154418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4267737362551069000.post-43335461536194352492011-10-08T17:21:14.629-07:002011-10-08T17:21:14.629-07:00As stated, you wear this incredibly well, in fact ...As stated, you wear this incredibly well, in fact I personally prefer your silhouette to Alt's, as much as I admire her, and the shirt is beautiful, especially the details.
I actually attempted something similar this afternoon - inspired by a new pair of trousers - with the semi tucked shirt thing...however, for some reason the pockets of my trousers decided to stick out somewhat, turning my overall silhouette into a diamond shape, god forbid!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18002923635682596819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4267737362551069000.post-52503809931748322462011-10-06T13:12:37.240-07:002011-10-06T13:12:37.240-07:00il était une fois... - Thanks!

I used to be a non-tucker too, I just recently started tucking, and getting used to it. I think that the Etoile shirt will be mine very soon:)!
Oh, the Bettys. Well, I did cave in, I found them at a Swedish auction site for a very good price, in burgundy. When I got them I thought that they were lovely, but I just couldn't imagine wearing that kind of shoe to the park/playground, and I already have so many nice shoes for work - so I sold them! It was a bit painful, but they just weren't for me. Too much money for sneakers, even if they're the prettiest sneakers ever! How about you, did you cave in?Garderobenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03161904037115154418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4267737362551069000.post-21772736442424648522011-10-06T11:58:03.268-07:002011-10-06T11:58:03.268-07:00I love this shirt and look on you too! I think it doesn't quite go with my proportions - so I always look a bit rumpled and messy since I always wear my button downs untucked.

Out of curiousity, did you ever cave and get the Bettys???

Luckily we're getting a bit more summer here too,
so I haven't had to wear any boots yet.melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15307033436260905938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4267737362551069000.post-46261699703258835842011-10-04T11:14:00.737-07:002011-10-04T11:14:00.737-07:00Robin- Thanks:)!

I know, she looks so good. I've never owned a pair of white jeans, I just know that it wouldn't look good on me. They'd also look like a mess after 5 minutes in my house.

lin - Right, no worries about the buttons, haha! You can really pull off an oxford shirt like no one else, I love the way you wear yours.

Nina - Thanks:)! Well, I wear the skinny and the pencil styles. The ones in this picture are the Pencil, 12". The ones in the Plaid and Dixies post are the Skinny, 10". I like them both, but the skinnies are really quite fitted around the calves and ankles. Some are low waist, some mid waist and one pair has a high waist. I found a post with my favourite pair, Summer stripes, they're the pencil style, Murphy wash and low rise. I actually just got them in mid rise as well, since they're about to fall apart! I only wear J Brand jeans, but I'd like to try some Rag & Bones, I have two pairs of their skinny cords, and I love them! Good luck!Garderobenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03161904037115154418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4267737362551069000.post-78507552991530186502011-10-04T06:28:30.321-07:002011-10-04T06:28:30.321-07:00I think you look absolutely fab. I know what you mean, I find the oxford shirt a tricky thing. It has to be worn the right way and it also has to be the right kind of shirt. I think it was on Closet Visit where someone's boyfriend said she looked like she works at Best Buy (an electronics store) when she wore her oxford shirt, and then when she untucked it, he said she looked like she just got off of work from Best Buy, LOL. I know the feeling ... I used to have a uniform like that when I worked at Intel in college, ha! Gives me very bad memories of all polos and oxford shirts.Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02498676439284533678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4267737362551069000.post-32928272827426762052011-10-03T15:51:40.965-07:002011-10-03T15:51:40.965-07:00I love your outfit.I love your outfit.Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17033493110133006699noreply@blogger.com
