January by garderob
This polyvore collage definitely isn't weather appropriate, at least not here. It's still freezing, and spring is nowhere in sight. I'm a bit obesessed with this overpriced blouse, as well as the cords. I have a thing for cords. I'd wear them with my A.P.C wedges, cognac sandals or the lovely Jenny boots. Lots of Marant here, but even though the collection seemed just awful on the runway I knew there'd be lots of good stuff when it hit the shelves.

I love that you bring the spring in...and the blouse is to die for!
ReplyDeletePeace in mind - I know, it really is!
Deleteof course I love everything in this collage!! Especially the blouse, which evokes the old Marant in the best possible way. I think I tend to dream of spring during the winter and fall during the summer ... sometimes you just feel ready for a change!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for a change, and for the blouse:)! It really feels like old Isabel.
DeleteI'm on the hunt for the perfect pair of skinny cords!!x

For me, Rag & Bone's skinny cords are perfect!
DeleteSo I had guessed right about the IM sandals!!;)) All the items in the collage are so lovely. About IM, I think the styling of the show is reponsible for the negative response I felt also. The past couple of her runway shows have been "too much" in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteYes:)they're so nice. I agree, the styling is way too much, very Balmain. I always find nice stuff anyways, but the runway shows used to be so good!
DeleteLove all of the footwear choices here - i had hoped to snag some of the apc wedge sandals from last season but failed, sadly, and there is a kind of relief (my bank balance) to that, considering the time for sandals here is so, so far away! But I love to feel my way forward, and planning for the warmer days is a pleasant way to muse my way through a work-free afternoon! Tan and white are such a lovely combination, always.
ReplyDeleteI got the wedges last year, and they are very comfortable but also pricey. I guess the same goes for the other two pairs here. A work-free afternoon sounds wonderful! I love the colours here too. The blouse and the sandals/boots would look great with blue jeans as well.
Deletehaha i love that you're thinking about spring already! i still haven't found that perfect filmy creamy white blouse. have you been wearing your Bator a lot lately? soo envious of your amazing score!
ReplyDeleteI know, that always happens with the S/S arrivals, ha! I remember that I've seen a picture of a very nice creamy white shirt on your blog, I really liked it. And yes, I've been wearing my Bator! There hasn't been any snow here yet, which is pretty unusual. My fear is that we'll get the first snow in March when I'll be even more ready for spring clothes! And your coat is great too!
DeleteIt's funny how styled together, a designer look is way too over-the-top, but when you pull the individual pieces apart, there's a lot of good stuff there. Wishing you some more Marant headed your way....!
ReplyDeleteminima/maxima, a blog about minimalist style
I know, and most of the time all the good stuff isn't for the runway. I usually don't like wearing just one designer, it becomes too much, but I'd have no problem wearing this!
ReplyDeleteMy latest post is about clothes from Isabel Marant. I have a few beloved pieces in my wardrobe, but they aren't from the runway. Latest collection "Navaho" was awful in my opinion. Too many feathers, fringes and patterns. Anyway, IM is still one of my favorite designers.
ReplyDeleteA couple of years ago, almost all the runway pieces were really nice, now there's usually one or two! Luckily Etoile is still really good. I agree about the Navajo:)!
DeleteOf course Navajo; in my language (polish) Navaho:)
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog, it's nice! Saw the post about the news trouser, could you let me know your waist cause i'm not sure whether to order size 34 or 36?
And i also read that you live near a hope store? I live in germany where we don't have one and i'm urgently looking for the charlie boots in size 40 or 41 in black. Could you maybe have a look for me?
Thanks and best,
Val
Hi Val,
DeleteThanks! My news trousers are a sz 34, I'm normally a sz 27 in jeans. They run big, I'm normally a size 36 in most clothes. I didn't see any Charlie boots in your size at the Hope store. Maybe you could write their e-store and ask?
The APC wedges! You must get them! I saw them in store and they looked fantastic but I have too many sandals so I could not purchase. :(
ReplyDeleteI have them! They're from S/S 2011, I got them last year. I think they're making a similair wedge sandal this year too.
DeleteI'm super into the APC sandles. saw some similar from Kork Ease but I haven't bit the bullet on buying them yet
ReplyDeleteThe APC wedges are so pretty, can't wait to wear them!
