One year old

My baby boy celebrated his first birthday on Thursday. We had the birthday party this weekend with lots of sunshine, friends, presents, kids and cake. My daughter and I have had mad baking sessions this week, we baked cinnamon rolls, two cakes (almond meringue with caramel), lime and coconut bars, chipster brownies and pecan/chocolate chip cookies! I wish I would have taken a picture of all the baked goods, but I forgot all about it. I'll get some when we have a birthday party for my daughter in July.
My daughter kept insisting on another headless shot, so here's three out of four in the headless family (even if you can actually see my head here)! These are the IM linen pants I wasn't sure if I'd keep ot not. I'm so glad I did! I've been wearing them all the time, the fabric is lovely and they go with just about everything in my closet.
Did you have a nice weekend?

As you can see, my son is already a vinyl lover! The swim shorts are a birthday present. My daughter is wearing an outfit I would wear too (quite contradictory to my previous post on children's wear, I know, but I couldn't resist the pants or the top when I saw them).

A.P.C top, belt and espandrilles, Isabel Marant linen pants.

A.P.C necklace and bracelet.

  5. Ooh all that baked goods sounds so mouth-watering! And your daughter is TOO cute!!

I really love your outfit here (as usual), the trousers look utterly good on you so I'm happy you kept it! Do you have a close-up photo of the APC shoes? I've been thinking of getting a pair from their current collection.

  6. J -Thanks! yes, it was a great party! I like the length of the trousers, even though they're supposed to look more cropped, I'm short!

Amanda - Thanks! I think he enjoyed the party, but he's too small to appreciate the presents. he enjoyed his first cinnamon roll!

Alexandra - Thanks! The necklace is several years old, but I like it too.

Emmy - Thanks! The sandals are from the current collection, you can find them online!

Fleurette - Thanks! I love cookies and cakes, and it's a fun thing to do with my daughter. I'm so glad I kept the trousers too! They're one of my best purchases. Thanks for advicing me to keep them:). I'll post a close up picture of the sandals this week. They're the wedge espandrilles from the current collection.

  8. Your children are adorable! I would also wear your daughter's pants... or in the very least buy them for my niece. Haha. And seriously crushing on your APC bracelet too.
I'm getting my bake on for a friend's surprise party on Friday (I have a serious cupcake addiction) but I adore kids parties most of all :)

  9. Happy Birthday to your son! Sounds like it was a fun and lovely party. I'm going to have to try out some of those recipes at some point. Your kids are so adorable! And I also want to wear your daughters outfit! So after all this skinny vs wide talk, I think this is my favorite outfit with that APC tee. I suppose I love cropped pants most of all. The espadrilles look super! Very good choice, makes me start to want them LOL. I need to learn some self control.

  10. Fleurette - They are very comfortable, just like the IM boots in height! I bought them here, in a store that carries A.P.C and Etoile, and I always get a 10% discount, so they were definitely cheaper than the online store. I've been looking for a sandal with a comfortable heel for so many years, so yes, I feel like they're worth the price. In general I don't like to pay this much for summer shoes, they just don't last as long as boots do.

La Fille mal Gardée - Thanks! The A.P.C bracelet is a few years old.I'd definitely wear my daughter's pants around the house if they came in bigger sizes! Good luck with the cupcakes!

S - Thanks! You should definitely try some of the recipes, the lime and coconut bars were so good. You know, I tried the wide leg jeans, but then decided to wear these pants instead. It was a bit too warm for jeans, and I guess I'm not quite ready for them yet;). I'm really happy with the espandrilles.
