Pyjamas

I find dressing for summer somewhat harder than for spring and fall, and I also find myself wearing things I wouldn't during the rest of the year, like these Etoile pants. First, printed pants is something I normally wouldn't look for and second, they're like pyjama pants! I guess my subconscious inner bohemian takes advantage of the situation. I'm also wearing an Etoile tee and my new Opening Ceremony sandals.

I recently found some bracelets on Etsy (the ones to the right) here, here with a bracelet in silver and gold from Be Christiansen.

Do you also walk out the door wearing pyjama pants, or something else you normally wouldn't wear, during summer?
P.S Sorry for being such a bad blogger, but I have a feeling I won't be posting much in the nearest feature. I just don't have the energy or the inspiration right now. I still love reading your blogs, though!

  1. I remember those pants very well and never thought about getting them, because of the pajama effect, but they look so good and subtle and just really comfortable for living in. In addition, I feel like the print makes it very forgiving for when little ones decide to use your pants as a napkin :) They look absolutely perfect with the sandals and tee. The bracelets are also really nice! Mixed metals done right.

  2. S - They are really comfortable, and kind of nice as a summer alternative to my Hope pants, which I'm wearing all the time now! I can't really get over the pyjama feeling though, but I get lots of compliments for them, so I guess pyjamas are acceptable for hanging out in the park!

  3. Ha, I'm wearing Hope pants every day now too! Kind of hard to remember what I used to wear before, I wear them so much. But I do fear them getting dirty, and that's where I feel your Etoile pants probably work very well for the park

  4. I have some pajama pants that I love wearing but my husband's is always telling me they're super ugly. But I don't care and I wear them anyway. I recently found some black ones at the gap and I wear them to work! Haha!

  5. I definitely dress brighter and a little less like myself in the summer than during the other parts of the year, but I think that's because summer is that month that I always neglect to consider when buying clothes! Love the pants though, they're so unexpected and relaxed!

  8. S- I know, the grey ones get dirty right away, and the black ones too, from the sand. These do work well for the park!

emmy - haha, there's been lots of pyjama like pants around for the past few seasons! These aren't actually pyjama pants, but they feel like it!

Danielle - Thanks, and I too neglect summer clothing! I just don't want to spend any money on something you don't wear a lot.

jennifer - Thanks, but they are a bit strange, haha! Very comfortale, though.

Milly - I do too! That sounds wonderful!

  10. I have a love hate relationship with summer. Although I love summer nights and simple dressing, I overheat so easily that summer days soon become the bane of my existence! If there ever is a time for pajama-like pants it's summer. Everything becomes immensely more casual.
