Burgundy

This is actually what I wore on Saturday going out to dinner with some friends. Carribean - accras, jerk fish and beer - so good! I rarely find something that I like in this wine/burgundy colour, it's one of my favourite colours. This Etolie linen top, my raw silk isabel Marant scarf and my Rag & Bone corduroy skinnies are three burgundy items that are on heavy rotation throughout the year, more so during fall and winter though.

My love for burgundy is the reason as to why I can't let go of this Rag & Bone shirt from Net-a-Porter. However, I'm not willing to pay 305 euro for it.

On a different note, I recently got this new CdG wallet for $25 on sale, there were around fifty of them, different styles and colours, just thrown into a box! I couldn't just leave it there, it fits perfectly into my Mini Twee.

  4. amazing bargain for the CdG wallet!! :D i know what you mean about favorite colors...i suppose it's more of a pattern thing for me, but it's quite difficult for me to pass up a striped breton shirt :)

  5. and burgundy looks lovely on you - it's such a rich, sophisticated color that manages to be both a neutral and a saturated color.

  8. asha - the colour is too good - but €305, oh no.

jennifer - Thanks! You should give it a try - I can fall in love with any type of clothing just because it's this colour!

s - Thanks! I love the cut of the tee too, and that it's long, it works out well with really skinny jeans like these. I wish I'd gotten more wallets, they'd make great gifts!

miss sophie -thanks! I forgot to mention my Billy bag, it's also this colour! I love patterns too, especially on shirts. Not to mention Breton tops, lol - did you get the Hope pirate top?

alexandra - Thanks, I hadn't thought of that!

Ginta - that's probably true! I also like the colour combination sky blue/burgundy. I know, a great deal on the wallet!

  16. I am a burgundy lover too. I am trying to bring back the turtle neck sweater. I have one in err...burgundy that I have been teaming with tight jeans/or simple black a-line miniskirt with some form of black ankle boots. I think it's a winning colour! Speaking of winning, $25 for a CDG is very lucky!

  17. RA - It's too warm for turtle necks here now, but that sounds great!
