Wednesday/Thursday

Western influence, not taken quite as far as Isabel Marant P/H 2011:)! An Etoile plaid shirt, J Brand jeans and IM boots.
Today: Hope top, J Brand jeans and flat A.P.C lace up boots.
I've been looking for a pretty basic loose knit black sweater for quite some time now. I think that this might be the one. I love the material, linen and cotton. The buttoning at back, and the contrast stiching, are nice details. A great black sweater and black slouchy skinny jeans are what's missing from my wardrobe.

  1. Just the perfect amount of Western! Looks fantastic, just basic, wearable clothes that never look like you are trying too hard. Ok, you'll never believe this, but I'm pretty sure I have the same APC boots! They are flat ankle boots, yes? The Hope sweater looks like a great basic, have you tried it on yet?

  2. I adore your outfits. I'd like to see a closer photo of the A.P.C. lace up boots though.

  3. Haha, you mean, no white leather, knee-high fringe boots?

But really, both of these outfits are so nice! I love the fit of your jeans in the second picture!

  4. I love the plaid shirt!
I'm also looking for a nice black sweater with a roundneck. I'd like it to be in cotton, like those from acne's summer collection.

  5. love both looks. this is such a good canvas for everyday looks! i wasn't really a fan of the IM f/w 2011 show to be honest. i hope the bator jacket comes back though...it's the last puzzle piece in my jacket/light outerwear collection!

  6. S - Thanks. I hope it doesn't seem like I'm trying to hard, but sometimes I feel like I'm lacking in imagination, almost always wearing the same brand(s)! I'm able to wear pretty much whatever I like to work, which is great, I never need any special work garnments. And No way!! Yes, flat ankle boots! Unbelievable...
I haven't tried the Hope sweater yet. A Hope store is opening here in April, but I haven't seen it in any other stores. I always wear the same size in Hope, so I think it'd be fine. I think I'll have to wait until next month.
Fleurette - Thanks, you're so sweet!I'll post a close up photo later.
Jennifer - Thanks! The jeans are J Brand Krys. Haha, that's right, you won't see the white knee-high fringe boots here!
Heart in a cage - Thanks, that's one of my favourite shirts! I love the colours, and that it has two layers of fabric that are different. Acne has some good crewnecks, but I think that Hope's usually better quality.
Miss Sophie - Thanks, I'm glad you think so. I'm always hesitant to post all these very casual outfits. I didn't like IM F/W 2011 at all! Mostly just horrible except for some coats. And I feel just like you about the Bator...my dream coat.

  7. Honestly, I feel the same way posting some of my outfits. I think there's a certain stigma in the fashion world for wearing the same designer head to toe or wearing simple outfits like a top and jeans ... but honestly, that's just how I want to dress so I no longer care. And I guess what I've learned through conversations with various other bloggers is that, if someone else finds this unimaginative, they don't have to read our blogs! At least we've found other like-minded people to share our obsessions!

  8. You're right. I never worry about it in real life, it's just how I dress. Thanks for the support!
